People with less common mental health problems being ‘left behind’ despite progress to improve awareness and understanding reveal Time to Change
Our aim with Time to Change was to increase awareness of their charity, support them with their campaign of improving attitudes towards mental health and promote their new research about the stigma and discrimination received by those with less common mental health conditions. Knowing the campaign had TV potential, we required case studies but had to be considerate and adaptable when offering media opportunities.
We worked closely with Time to Change when organising media opportunities and were transparent with media producers to get as much information as possible to prepare the case studies. As a result the campaign was a huge success receiving a feature on Channel 5 News with the charity director and a case study. Sky News radio was also secured which was syndicated to 150 stations along with a further 14 regional stations, 1 national radio stations and 4 BBC regionals including BBC Three Counties who discussed the campaign for their whole mental health programme.
