Virgin Media O2 launch life-saving defibrillators on UK high streets

- ObjectiveAnnounce the launch of in-store defibrillators in all O2 owned stores
We supported Virgin Media O2 as it launched life-saving defibrillators into all its O2 owned stores in January 2023.
The organisation did this after it found that 9 in 10 people said they’d feel a responsibility to help someone that went into cardiac arrest. Despite this, less than a fifth had received CRP training in the last year, and only 21% would feel comfortable using a defibrillator.
We teamed up with TV personality, Brenda Edwards, to announce the launch. Sadly, she knows all too well how important it is to react quickly when someone goes into cardiac arrest, after her brother collapsed in public a few years ago. Thankfully, he survived after a member of the public, wwo was trained in CPR, stepped in to help.
Brenda attended a special CRP training session from Virgin Media O2 and was willing to share her own compelling story in interviews.
As a result, we were able to secure interviews on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Sky News, BBC News, ITV London, BBC 5 Live, Times Radio, talkTV, BBC Wiltshire, BBC Oxford, BBC Nottingham, BBC Leeds and BBC Shropshire.
