We worked with Guide Dogs to bolster knowledge of media interviews
Guide Dogs is perhaps one of the UK’s best-known charities with expertise that’s much in demand on a wide range of issues affecting those with sight loss. There’s a lot of knowledge they can offer around dog welfare too.
We’ve supported national and regional spokespeople from Guide Dogs and also overseen various case studies. Not all of these people have had experience of a radio or TV interview, and that’s where our media training is provided remotely and face-to-face. A key focus has been making sure Guide Dogs is recognised for the breadth of expertise and support it offers. This includes interviews on puppy raising, accessibility, dog health, providing visually impaired children with the latest technology, the waiting time for a guide dog, and safety fears around using e-scooters.
Guide Dogs has appeared on BBC News, Sky News, BBC local radio, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5live, BBC Breakfast, ITV’s Good Morning Britain and a range of other broadcasters.
Peter Bungay, Regional Policy and Campaigns Manager for Guide Dogs, said: “I can’t praise Mike enough for hosting the media training that I recently attended with Broadcast Revolution. Mike is a seasoned professional, and the hints, tips and practical experience certainly gave me the confidence to take on media opportunities in the future. Thanks, Mike, for such a useful and interesting course!”
