We worked with On the Beach on their whitepaper on consumer trust in the travel sector.
Are you one of over 400,000 Brits who were never offered money back from a cancelled holiday due to COVID? Did you know it is a legal requirement to have been offered your money back?
We worked with On the Beach as the travel company called on the industry to make full refunds to help restore confidence. This came about from a whitepaper commissioned by On the Beach around trust in the travel sector, which found that 815,000 Brits had holidays cancelled due to the pandemic, but around half weren’t offered a refund. The rally is part of a series of recommendations that aim to evolve the sector.
Using data from the whitepaper, Broadcast Revolution engaged with the media in two different manners. The first was securing coverage for the company’s CEO across BBC News Channel, ITV Lunch & Evening News, Channel 5 News, Sky News, LBC, and Bloomberg.
The second was through consumer expert Anna Richardson who forwarded the whitepaper. Anna spoke with outlets up and down the country to raise awareness of Refund Credit Notes and advise Brits on how they can get their money back. She spoke with BBC Scotland, BBC Solent, BBC York, BBC Shropshire, BBC Hereford & Worcester, and many more.
