COVID-19 reaction from International Wallpaper Week
We advised Graham & Brown, the company behind International Wallpaper Week, how to best communicate the fact they had seen a spike in online sales of wallpaper during the Coronavirus pandemic.
We created the strategy and handled the broadcast media relations after creating data which highlighted the things Brits were getting up to during the pandemic, where they ‘bottled it’ due to fears of getting it wrong and how youngsters were using technology to watch DIY tutorials to recommend things to do around the house during lockdown.
Launched around the same time as DIY stores started to reopen – the space was competitive. To combat this we teamed up with TV legend, Carol Smillie, to cut through the noise happening on consumer broadcast.
Specifically targeting consumer outlets, we secured coverage on the national ITV Lunchtime News, talk RADIO, the Gaydio Breakfast Show, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Oxford, BBC Hereford & Worcester, BBC Wiltshire, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and Sky News.
Total potential reach of the campaign was 48,868,400.
