National Lottery Community Fund offer funding announcements through Covid-19

The National Lottery Community Fund gives grants to organisations in the UK to help improve their communities and we’ve supported them throughout the last few months to help with their funding announcements through Covid-19. Since the coronavirus outbreak, they have made over £600 million available to support community projects through the UK for those who are supporting vulnerable people during the pandemic.

Announcing funding for a variety of projects across the UK meant that we wanted to target regional specific media to make sure the projects got the best level of exposure in their areas, so we created multiple regional advisories and offered project leads as well as The National Lottery Community Fund’s ‘Head of Regions’ depending on where the project was based.

We also linked funding announcements with relevant awareness dates, including National Loneliness Awareness Week as a number of projects supported those isolating for long periods of time.

Across the announcements we supported, we secured coverage across regional TV including ITV Yorkshire and Meridian, a huge variety of regional BBCs including WM, Manchester, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds as well as multiple regional commercial stations.
