As pressure built at Dover and Folkestone with large numbers of holidaymakers and lorries trying to head across the Channel to France, Logistics UK was on hand to provide an expert voice.
The final weekends of July 2022 saw very long delays as passport checks backed up with the roads accessing the ports clogged up, too. On the morning of 29th July 2022, Natalie Chapman, Logistics UK’s Head of Policy-South, spoke to Sky News about last weekend’s problems and the need for better resources to make sure passport checks are carried out speedily and efficiently.
