We worked with Logistics UK to strengthen live media interview expertise

Challenges facing the UK’s supply chain have been widely reported in recent years. The pandemic, Brexit and a blockage of the Suez Canal have all played a part in the problem. A shortage of tens of thousands of HGV drivers proved to be a key challenge. The need for expert voices for interviews by broadcasters was paramount, and the UK’s freight trade body, Logistics UK, was at the forefront of interview requests from the media. Our team, led by Head of News Mike Young, worked with various spokespeople from Logistics UK to provide media training. This focused on live radio and TV interviews, how to navigate tricky questions and ensure key messages are delivered.

We’ve secured interviews for Logistics UK spokespeople on various outlets, including BBC News, LBC, LBC News, BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme and BBC Radio 5live.

David Wells, Chief Executive, Logistics UK, says:

“I’ve found Mike a great help in preparing me for live media interviews. With years of experience, he gives you the confidence to take this on. He offers practical advice and practice to prepare yourself for the task.”
